New Cigarette Warning Labels

12 July 2011 3 Comments

All we can say is “Are you serious?”

New FDA Cigarette Warning LabelsOne of these warning labels will have to be featured on every pack of cigarettes that is sold in the United States.  The warning label must be placed on the upper half of the cigarette pack, with the logo and cigarette information below the cigarette warning label.

These images seem to be ultra-brainwashing.  There are realities of smoking, but this is such an extreme measure that the US Government is taking.

Will these cigarette warning labels be effective?  Time will tell, but they sure are not pretty to look at.

What do you say?  Will these stop you from smoking?

The ones we have had on Canadian cigarettes for years now are much more graphic than these. You soon don’t even notice them. My American friends think some of them are actually funny (Smoking can cause impotence ….shows a cigarette standing on the filter and burnt half way down – the ash leans over like a flaccid penis)

I know of not one person that has quit because of the pictures, so I think it is a pretty useless campaign.

We agree. It is amazing what we can get used to seeing…it’ll soon become background noise. We think it’s funny that this is what the ‘experts’ think is going to ‘work’ this time.
